eBay Find: This Third Generation Pontiac Firebird Has Stacked Blowers, Invisible Roll Cage Bars, And A Fake Hemi – Wow

Normally under circumstances like this we try to keep the person who tipped us off to the vehicle you are about to see anonymous. In order to do that we’re going to protect his name by saying simply that it rhymes with Steve Baur. Now that we’ve established who absolutely did not tip us off to this car, we’ll carry on. Frankly this one will go down in the annals of BangShift history for various reasons but mostly because it has an insane collection of widgets, trinkets, freaky pieces, and outright lies all compounded into one star spangled package of an automobile. So where do we start?!

We’re actually going to give the paint a straight up win. This job obviously took talent and time and we think it looks pretty neat. If this were a race car or even a slightly different style of street car, we’d perhaps like it even better but the stripes heading down the doors and the whole eagle situation on the hood is pretty sweet. Well done! After that things start to take a turn for the less good. Into the engine bay!

Hey look, a Hemi with two blowers, nitrous, and all of this badditude going on, right?! Wrong. It is a 400ci Pontiac engine with some weirdo adapter things that are supposed to make it look like a hemi and the blowers are actually a single blower and one empty case. There is a “nitrous system” on the car which looks capable of producing a lot of fire and sadness but no actual nitrous flow. The photos do not really give an indication of a feed line even entering the engine bay.

Inside the car we have a roll cage! No we don’t have a roll cage. There’s part of a roll cage but there are no down bars in the front to connect with the floor. They have been cut off likely to make entry and egress easier on people. The net result is a cage that till likely fold up ad kill the people in the car if/when the dookie hits the fan. We were kind of stunned when we saw the chopped off bars and the front of the cage basically hanging in the air.

We’re going to stop there and tell you to check this thing out. Ok, one more note. The seller claims that the car goes 8s.

Thats gotta be the largest pile that I’ve seen in along time, only some custom vettes would come close. Runs 8’s in what????

That hacked up roll cage makes me run far, far away from that sale, not before punching the a-hole in the mouth for doing the hack job.

The perfect thing to cruise around in with the stereo blaring the theme from Team America: World Police.

But the extra fake blower and phony Hemi valve covers are easy enough to can, and the cage is fixable.

“Knight Rider 2.0” – hey everyone else is on the “2.0” kick, so why not??

I was just watching the hilarious worst replica cars series – but this abortion is far far worse than most of them. Send it to a stars and stripes crusher and forget it ever existed. By the way – isn’t there any laws against soiling your flag by putting it on something so hideous…

Tough crowd. You guys have some interesting tastes as well. Typical car show smoke and mirrors turd. Lots of ’em out there…

I worked on this car with the old owner of the car being a onelegged mechanic it made it easy for me to get in and out of it.Yes it is a weird setup but it is something that you don’t see everyday We got a lot of thumbs up from people.

Ideal for the fella who uses the bald spot spray paint, wears shoes with internal high heels and stuffs a pair of socks down the front of his pants.

Wonder if it’s a two barrel or four barrel underneath all those blowers?

On second thought, perhaps i was wrong? Somebody obviously loved this car, and built it to express their own interpretation of a gear heads wet dream? Dig it
