Hooker BlackHeart LS Engine Swap Systems For 1996-2004 Mustangs Have Arrived

Let’s face the facts here, people. LS swaps are not only NOT going away, they seem to continue to gain popularity. It seems to defy the odds but when you look a the variety of part and pieces that hit the market on a near weekly basis these days you can understand why. While Ford enthusiasts may not jump for joy over the news of a new kit that makes an LS swap into a 1996-2004 Mustang, everyone else is happy. Why? 1996-2004 Mustangs are in the sweet spot of cheapness right now. The newer stuff is more expensive and the older Fox bodies are finally beginning to get a little pricey to use for swap fodder. We’re not talking stupid bad but the 1996-2004 cars are practically free at this point.

So, what are we talking about with these systems? Engine adapter plates, crossmembers, exhaust, etc. The big hard parts that normally have to be butched together, fabricated, or worked around in a home build. Now you get to bolt the sucker together like it was supposed to be there!

Hooker BlackHeart LS Engine Swap Systems For 1996-2004 Mustangs Have Arrived

Holley/MSD is pleased to announce the release of Hooker BlackHeart’s LS Engine Swap systems for 1996-2004 Mustangs. This swap system is the latest addition to Holley’s unparalleled, ever-expanding lineup of LS swap components, which includes engine adapter plates, transmission crossmembers and complete exhaust systems.

ENGINE ADAPTER PLATES

Hooker BlackHeart Mustang LS Swap Engine Adapter Plates are designed for use on 1996-2004 4.6L V8 equipped Ford Mustangs. They are to be used in conjunction with Hooker transmission crossmembers (part numbers 71222012HKR and 71222013HKR). 1999-04 Mustangs currently require a custom transmission crossmember. Designed for use with commonly available stock rubber or aftermarket polyurethane engine mounts for 4.6L mod-motor engines, Hooker LS Swap Engine Adapter Plates are the perfect balance of strength, stiffness, weight, and cost. They’re made of high-strength steel, zinc-plated for maximum corrosion-resistance, and come complete with all the necessary hardware for a fast, hassle-free installation

TRANSMISSION CROSSMEMBERS

Hooker BlackHeart LS Swap Transmission Crossmembers are easy to install on 1994-98 Mustangs and provide maximum inter-component compatibility. High-arch exhaust passages deliver maximum exhaust ground clearance, and the design geometry replicates Ford’s stock drivetrain height, inclination angle, and offset. Two designs are available. One is compatible with Powerglide, TH350, 2004R, and TH400 transmissions, and the other fits 4L60-4L70, 4L80/4L85, 4th-gen F-body T56, T56 Magnum or TKO transmissions and the stock 1996-98 Mustang K-member. Both are made of steel, powdercoated, and come complete with all the necessary hardware. These crossmembers are designed specifically for use with the Hooker 71221011HKR engine adapter plates.

EXHAUST SYSTEMS

Hooker BlackHeart Mustang LS Swap Rear Exit Exhaust Systems connect directly to Hooker Mustang LS swap long-tube engine swap headers (part numbers 70101346-RHKR and 70101347-RHKR) for a simple bolt-in installation. Designed to easily clear OE and aftermarket adjustable rear upper control arms, they feature a merged-X crossover for maximum power and minimum drone. They’re manufactured from stainless steel, compatible with both stock and Hooker SN95 Mustang transmission crossmembers, and available in both 2.5-inch and 3-inch versions. They feature optimized bend geometry to clear wide tires (up to an inch wider than stock on the inboard side), improved tube geometry, and factory mounting points.

  1. Chevy Hatin' Mad Geordie

All this metal should be reduced to sharp spikes and anally inserted into anybody who dares to consider putting an LS into a Mustang….

  2. Whelk

I have a 2000 V6 Mustang. I’ll have to consider this. I just won’t bend over anywhere near Geordie.
