(Photos by Dom Damato/DRD Photos) – Outside of the Chevrolet Performance US Nationals, the greatest assemblage of sportsman drag racing talent that tour sees is at the Joliet race each year. Why? This is the home of the famed Jeg’s All-Stars race where the best racers from each of the NHRA’s seven divisions are brought together to compete in a team format for the bragging rights and bonus cash that comes with victory. This year it was NHRA’s Division 2 that took home the honors and thankfully Dom Damato of DRD Photos was there on behalf of BangShift to blast hundreds of great images from the race.

We’re going to get you started with a batch of photos featuring everything from top sportsman and top dragster entries to thrash photos from the nitro pits. We’ll be raining these photos down on you for the next several days so if you like sportsman racing, you’ll love the cars and the action that Dom captured. The chase is now on once again to build the divisional teams for the 2016 running of the Jeg’s All-Stars and everyone will be gunning for those Division 2 racers who made their lives miserable this year.
