The NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing series has come to an end for 2019, but not before a great season that ended with multiple class championships relying on the final few rounds at the final event of the year. The NHRA World Finals is one of those big deal races that always motivates racers. Winning in Pomona, whether at the season opening NHRA Winternationals or the season ending NHRA World Finals, is a big deal for any touring pro. Since Southern California is the home and birthplace of NHRA Drag Racing, it makes this even that more special. The fact that three out of 4 professional categories had their championships decided during Sunday’s eliminations at the NHRA World Finals, I’d say this was the kind of competitive season every fan loves. Hell, so do the racers themselves. After all, nobody wants to fun away with the championship after having no competition at all. That’s just no fun!
We had photographer Wes Allison on site in Pomona shooting photos for us and you will certainly love all the stuff we got. Tons of wheels up hard charging drag racing in all categories, including the nitro burning Top Fuel and Funny Car categories. If you missed any photos so far, don’t worry. Just follow the instructions below.

I believe all 4 pro championships were decided during eliminations. It was a very exciting race.
