NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl Of Street Legal Drag Racing Coverage: More Action From The Strip – All Classes

NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl Of Street Legal Drag Racing Coverage: More Action From The Strip – All Classes

(Photos by Charles Wickam) – As I have mentioned in previous stories, part of the magic of the NMRA/NMCA super bowl of street legal drag racing is the fact that it draws huge car counts comprised of racers from all over the country. We had a strong contingent of west coast pro mod racers but ultimately it came down to a couple of Illinois boys getting it done on Sunday afternoon. We had racers from both ends of Canada, and the final in one category came down to a showdown between New Jersey and Manhattan Beach, California. It literally does not get more spread than that!

In all of the different forms of drag racing there are legacy races. Maybe it is the US Nationals for the NHRA. Maybe it is the Man Cup races for the drag bike guys, maybe it is the DragStock race for the PDRA guys. These are events that endure time and changing market conditions, and while they have their own up and down years, they always deliver lots of cars, a great show, and memories for fans and racers alike that keep them coming back. The yearly NMRA/NMCA shindig in Joliet is that. This race was amazing and we really got to see the best in North America slugging it out!
