Street Car Super Nationals 14: Putting That Cool Desert Air To Good Use

Just because the temperatures in Las Vegas look inviting compared to many places across the country doesn’t mean that they actually are. The beauty and curse of the Mojave Desert is that temperatures often feel cooler than they actually are. In summer, that means 90 degrees doesn’t feel as bad, and sixty degrees will be cutting if a good breeze blows through. The race car, however, is happiest when the temperatures are lower. We all know this. Cooler air equals denser charge going into cylinders, equals better explosion in the cylinder and more power being put to the ground. It is why racers love these end-of-the-year events…it is a time for personal bests to be laid down and winnings to be had. There is no holding back for later anymore…at Street Car Super Nationals 14, the drivers are racing like the only plans they have next is to fix whatever they break here.

If you watched the LIVE VIDEO yesterday, you would see half-track power wheelies out of both lanes of competition more often than not, grudge races, and all sorts of entertainment by Chad. If you aren’t tuned in, why not??
