Throwback Thurdsay: Finnegan Looks Back On Drag Week ’19 As He Gears Up For RMRW 2.0!

The bag is getting packed, the gear is being checked, and the hotels have been booked. By the time you are reading this, I’ll be finishing up my last couple of things before I hit the road for nearly ten straight days of race coverage, most of which will be on the road for Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0. Haley and I have been excited for this ever since Matt and Adam announced that it was a go. Many of you are excited for the same reason that Mike Finnegan is excited: this is the only roadtrip racing deal going, especially since Drag Week 2020 got thrown into the great big trash can in the name of COVID concerns. People who were preparing and making sure their kit was ready to roam the country were left wondering if they were going to have anything to go do for the rest of the year. I was just wondering how many miles I would be able to get under my belt this year, since I was supposed to be staying home and all of that.

So, in a move designed to build up the hype and to get in the right frame of mind for RMRW 2.0, Finnegan is looking back on Drag Week 2019, and all of the fun that came with it. From Dave’s engine issues to the first gear in the Blasphemi ’55 Chevy that called it a day, to the famous scene of Tony Angelo bench-pressing the trans back into place, this is the behind-the-scenes view from Finnegan’s viewpoint. Enjoy it…in short order you’ll (hopefully) be seeing him on the livestream rocking the prairie!
