TX2K events are wild to me for one reason and one reason only: the “holy ….” factor involved when the E.T. and MPH numbers flash on the boards. You can have a quick street car all day long, but show up to a TX2K event with something in that is running twelves and you better only have three cylinders or you better have spun half of the track trying to get traction. Claim brand loyalty or national pride all you want, it won’t do you any good here…if you aren’t swinging for the fences and regularly knocking it out of the park, this event is not for you. Six-second Toyota Supras and Nissan GT-Rs tread the paddock, front-drive Hondas that will shut down any joke you’ve got and Vipers that are howling, among tons of other worthy competitors. There is no lack of speed anywhere in sight.
