Want To Make Some Money Sand-Dragging? $32,000 Is Up For Grabs At Bull Run Raceway If You’ve Got The Grunt!

We’re drag racing fans here at BangShift, no doubt, and that doesn’t go for just asphalt stuff. We can dig folks getting down in the dirt, too. It takes a special type to try to make big power work in a sand pit, and we respect the work that goes into that action. We also respect seeing roostertails of freshly-ground material being flung yards behind a machine that’s on one hell of a tear, too! The thing is, sand drags tend to be more of a local deal with small pots for the drivers that show and run. Well, we’ve been hearing some rumors about a race that’s going on out in Ohio, and we have some details for you. Let’s start with one question: How’d you like to win a good chunk of change for playing in the dirt?

The track is Bull Run Raceway out in Rogers, Ohio and that Nova you’re seeing in the lead photo belongs to the owner of the joint. These guys have a ball running all sorts of machines out in the 300ft sand drag pit and they have a hill to run up as well. But it’s their Bracket Nationals that has eyebrows raised: a $32,000 purse that is split up between two days of racing over the weekend of September 7th, 2018. If you place at least fourth, you’ll be taking home some cash. If you place first, you’ll be taking home ten grand. You need to run at least a 5.50 in the dirt to be able to play in this league, so make sure that your gear is ready to go and hurry up and register…come September, a lot of ground is going to get chewed up and someone’s going to have a party at the end of it all!
