Watch This Toyota Supra Scream Out 750 Rear Wheel Horsepower With A Trunk Monkey Installed

There’s been loads of talk about the new Toyota Supra that has made a big splash in the media and in Toyota dealerships. That car seems really good, seems really fun, and seems like it does some of the stuff the old school Supras did but there’s one thing we know it’ll never match the old cars for. Sound. You can hate on the 2Jz all day long and twice on Sunday if you want but the reality is that the engine is amazing and even now, 20+ years after the OG Supra went out of production, it holds its own with any other piston engine on Earth. There’s proof in this video.

You are about to see a right hand drive Supra make like 750hp to the rear tires, using an engine that’s basically 180ci. Not that it is world shattering power, but it is a reminder that despite the fact these are older cars, they can throw haymakers as well.

The one thing in this video that is not really smart is dude in trunk. We’ve all been to a shop where the dyno was running and someone climbed in the trunk to try and prevent the car from spinning tires on the rollers but it’s really not worth it. A tire comes apart, the straps break, etc. This dude is in a world of hurt, likely of the serious variety.

Ignore the guy and crank the volume!
