Watch Tina Pierce Suffer A Wild Wall-Jumping Crash During The IHRA Event At State Capitol Raceway In Louisiana

It was a scary night for Drag Week racer and Street Outlaws participant Tina Pierce at State Capitol Raceway in Baton Rouge, Louisiana as she suffered a scary wreck in her familiar S10 truck which left her on the wrong side of the wall and upside down next to the track. Pierce was racing against fellow female Drag Weeker Alex Taylor in a fun clocks off match race during the IHRA national event (if you remember this is the race that was originally scheduled to be run at San Antonio but was moved to Baton Rouge after management issues at San Antonio).

Shortly after launching, it appears the truck suffered a mechanical failure which caused it to make a hard left and climb the wall. It leapt right over the concrete and ended up in the muck next to the track. It is tough to tell for sure in this video due to the lighting but it appears that the truck was in frightening proximity to the fence that keeps the spectators from wandering onto the track.

Tina is a great lady and someone who we had the pleasure to meet and talk with during Drag Week 2015 so we’re sorry to see this happen. She gets out of the truck (with help) under her own power  and as we all know, the steel and plastic stuff can be repaired. She and her husband built the truck once and they can surely spruce it back up after a crash like this. We’re glad that she is OK and that no one else was gathered up in the wreck.

Idiots jumping the fence and getting in the way of officials. She was lucky it happened at the track and not on the street outlaws show where it could have been a lot worse.

PINK anodized bead locks? SERIOUSLY? And the announcer’s sensibilities….. “Battle of the GURLS”? IHRA is just plain weird….
