(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – There was some rain on Friday, but that was while we were in the swap meet which we will get to soon.  Prior to and following the showers it was gorgeous outside and we had some good light for shooting images.  We drove around gawking at stuff for a good bit and stopped now and then to get a closer look.  Lots of people and nice rides.  We are trying to bring you mostly new  stuff WE haven’t seen or previously photographed.  It is pretty easy to capture the low-hanging fruit and get the so called ‘top end’ cars that are prominently displayed and we really aren’t all about that stuff anyway.  Real cars from real blue-collar gearheads.  Speaking of….I have a whole article coming up about a club I’ve been seeing in these parts for years now and most of you should enjoy that.

We’ll point out a few cars in this gallery that we were drawn to:

Bronze Galaxie with a teardrop scoop and steelies.

Red and black 4-eye Fox-body sounded great with a stick and the whole family rode.

Travis Coomer’s F-series is laid down low and perfectly aged.  This thing gets around.

We have seen this flawless ’57 straight-axle before, but can’t get enough of its inline six.

The black square-body Chevy Bonanza with wide steelies and perfect stance.  Killer.

Grandma gold ’65 Chevelle.  Never saw or heard it move, but it certainly nailed the look.

Blue Dart Swinger.  What can I say.  I’m a sucker for these cars and always have been.

Enjoy.  Should be some more from Friday coming up.

Didn’t even know the evnt was happening. Oh, well, my V-8 Plymouth Arrow Pickup couldn’t have made it anyway, since my TCI (which must stend for Total Crap Incorporated, or maybe Trash Can it) trans went south a second time in less than 2,000 miles. I haven’t had the time or $ to repair it elsewhere since it puked the second time….
