2018 East Coast Indoor Nationals Photo Coverage: A Giant Grouping Of Awesome Cars, Trucks, and More From The Event

(Words and photos by Joe Grippo) – Pssst…Do you like Muscle Cars? How about Fire Engines or early ‘70’s American V8 powered Italian sports cars? Of course you do, or you wouldn’t be reading BangShift! So you will certainly dig this latest installment of the East Coast Indoor Nationals coverage. Diversity is the plan today. We’ve got Mustangs, Camaros, some sweet Mopars, some GM type stuff and a few killer trucks in this gallery.

Let’s talk about those trucks, one of my favorites was the lifted, two toned ‘70’s Ford F250 Custom with a full modern King Ranch interior and a new turbo diesel of some sort under the hood. I am not a diesel guy at all so I don’t know what make it is, surely someone will comment. On the opposite side turbo truck coin was a clean mostly unaltered, GMC Syclone, very cool to see a nice example. A vintage REO Fire Truck, a cute Jeepster pick-up and many more await your perusal. Imports are your thing? You are in luck, check out the Triumph TR something, an oddball Anglia along with some high end supercars like an Lexus LFA and a Ford GT. A bonus for me was seeing my first DE Tomaso Mangusta in person, so it was a special treat to crawl all over it and examine all the details.

Muscle cars and street machines were abundant in both halls of the Cow Palace Building. The full on resto’s and day two cars parked next to panel painted altered wheelbase freaks was pure eye candy. Look for the radically modified Matador, awesome Shelby Mustangs, B-body Mopars and the wild Cummings powered Caprice to high light a few. We really enjoyed the old and new mash up Buick Grand National that was half 60’s and half 80’s, featuring the best of both eras. Like I said diversity! Wickam’s Houston Autorama had nothing on this show….

More later.
