Show Photo Coverage: 2018 Wings and Wheels Annual Fly-in/Cruise-in Part 2

Show Photo Coverage: 2018 Wings and Wheels Annual Fly-in/Cruise-in Part 2

(Words and photos by Doug Gregory) – More from the Cynthiana-Harrison County Airport festivities.  Figuring out how to parse the photos is a task I do not enjoy as I have stated before.  I might soon try simply bundling them up in numbers as they were taken and see how that looks.  Categorizing stuff is wearing thin on me and I can only image the folks who look at my stuff feel the same way.

The new ZR1 Camaro shown in the first few rows of this gallery is far from stock.  We’ve seen/heard it roaming locally and have been told it’s capable of over 1,000hp.  The only thing I can verify is that its exhaust note is menacing and authoritative.

The state trooper tribute LX Mustang we’ve seen before is still something we really dig.  We got there after it had, but were there as it prepared to leave.  Seems they are required to put tape over the lettering when the thing is on public roads.  I understand that, but it’s still kinda sad.

This Medi-vac chopper was one of two there.  When it left there was virtually no rotor wash.  I don’t know how you do that, but I was impressed.  When the other lifted off…..pretty much everyone there got hit with a healthy gust.

New Challengers are quite popular and we had at least three examples in attendance.  A SRT, a Scat Pack, and a Hellcat kept the modern Mopar fans happy.

The two Camaros of the same blue hue belong to Mike and Nick Simpson.  This pair of rides are stunning in bright sunlight and we had plenty of that.  Both cars have previously been in our coverage of the Rod Run and the Simpson Cruise-in, but back then they were not blue.

Hope you enjoyed this gallery and visit again to check out our third and final installment.
