Let’s talk about the beautiful body

 

The body on this car all original GM sheetmetal, this is not some welded up basket case body. The body retains all its original floor pans, frame rails, the quarter panels are original GM, Blocked aero straight and covered in bright Vermillion Red, sanded and buffed to a beautiful finish. The body retains all its original proportions with no body modifications paying earned respect to the natural beauty of a 1969 Camaro, The bumpers were smooth and painted body color, the trim was blacked for a aggressive look without getting to far away from the original car. The tinted glass and black moldings are a subtle upgrade. The original RS grill trim is blacked out for a more aggressive look to the already sinister look of the highly sought after 1969 Camaro hidden headlights option. The RS doors are activated by Detroit Speed electric headlight motors removing all the troublesome factory vacuum actuators.18 X 9 front and 19 X 11 Fikse wheels add the final aggressive touch without getting too modern and ridiculous with the wheel choice

 

And now a review of the upgraded suspension system

 

To sum it up, the best of the best. Up front, Detroit Speeds incredible front subframe complete with adjustable coil over shocks, rack and pinion steering and  hydroformed frame rails. To match the front is Detroit Speed 4 link Quadlink suspension also feature adjust coil over shocks. The rear wheel tubs where widen with Detroit Speed 3″ wider tubes to clear the 13.6″ wide tires. This suspension has been proven by Detroit Speed numerous rally wins to run with and beat new Corvettes and other late model Muscle Cars in autocross and road coarse events. The ride is spectacular, and handles amazing. The power assist brake system is Wilwood including 14.25 inch front six piston caliper monsters on the front and 12.5 inch 4 piston rear brakes for perfect braking balance. Better check your rear view mirror before you hammer the brakes, the guy behind you will not be able to stop as fast as you.

The awesome drivetrain

Again, best of the best. Starting with a fresh rebuilt 2010 Corvette ZO6 LS7 427. The engine was taken apart and freshened and reassembled completely stock. Making a factory rated 505HP. The owner wanted perfect drivability without the irritating little nuances of built performance motors that never run and drive new car OEM perfect. Stock ZO6 LS7 GM tuning runs this beast and this motor thinks it is still in a new Corvette and runs perfectly and reliable as a ZO6 Corvette. The owner planned to do some road rallys with the car so he elected to use the factory ZO6 8 quart dry sump oiling system. Dry sump oiling is far superior but for whatever reason, maybe for ease of installation, many people delete this awesome feature on LS7 installs. A custom oil tank and vent system by Peterson was mated to the original LS7 and does indeed maintain this race bred oiling system. Keeping with the reliability theme GM performance parts accessories drive system was chosen to keep that great GM feeling and reliability. Cooled by a monster aluminum radiator and 3000 CFM 20″ cooling fan, the radiator is not only beautiful but functional for windows up, A/C on, summer driving in any situation. The engine breaths through a complete stainless exhaust system including 2″ primary 100% Stainless Steel headers which flow into a full Stainless exhaust system using Magnaflow mufflers. Little details matter. Many of these cars with 4 link rear suspension dump the exhaust in front of the rear end making for a annoying drone sound and also blowing debris everywhere, they are like road sweepers. This car has extensively fabricated custom tailpipes to clear the rear exiting behind the tires as original  giving the exhaust system that finished sound.

And the interior

 

The interior is stunning with durable leather like material that is so soft you just want to touch it all the time. The flat black leather is stitched in contrasting red perfectly coordinating the interior and exterior colors. Using bucket seats front and rear for 2 plus 2 styling, with a awesome diamond stitch design. The side panels and console are all custom leading into a original 1969 Camaro dash. A Detroit Speed Dash panel loaded with Autometer American Muscle gauges are the perfect combination of retro / modern upgrade . A awesome 7 speaker Kicker sound system has a integrated Solo baric Subwoofer between the rear seats, 6 X 9 deck speakers and 6.75 speakers in all 4 side panels , all controlled by a Panasonic DVD deck has been tuned to provide full range concert quality sound. A Vintage Air Gen IV A/C system is really cool, some pun intended.
