This 1972 Porsche 914 Could Be A Riot On The Autocross

Back in the day I used to run at the Porsche Club autocross events in Weatherford Texas. And one thing I remember about those events was how fast the Porsche 914 guys were. The cars are tiny, a V8 will fit in them if you want, but you don’t have to do that swap to make one stupid fast. Porsche engines of all shapes and sizes will fit in one as well, and they are a car that really shines on tight little race tracks. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very capable car on the road coarse as well, but it’s small size is certainly an advantage on autocross courses.

This example is a 1972 and is in perfect daily driver trim. Not only is the engine fresh, but

    I bought this car.
Although the seller (Glenn) promised a good working car, it arrived in Texas unable to drive. It had many electrical short circuits. Alternator was completely fried (literally, has short circuit inside) and of course battery was shot as well.

After replacing battery and alternator, other remaining short circuits (now being fed enough electricity to make a difference) caused a fire on my first 5 minute drive.

All that is left is a pile of charcoal.

Glenn (the friendly salesmen) is claiming to be innocent.

    BUYER BEWARE.
