For some reason, the Mini has always been one of those cars that puts a smile on people’s faces. No matter what kind of cars you are into, when you see a classic Mini you just smile. They are cool. They are cute. They haul ass! As one of the most epic rally cars in history, the maneuverability of a mini is second to none when it comes to front drive wee little cars. They are short, the are light, they have all four wheels mounted right out near the corners, they are amazingly wide for their wee stature and they are arguably the coolest looking thing a pair of flairs has every been attached to. And did we mention that chicks dig them? Yeah there is that too.
Well this one in particular is very very clean, in fact it just won a British car show here, and since it has a roll bar in it already it is ready for scene reenactment from the Italian Job movie. Who’s with me?

A real, 1962 Austin Mini Cooper Mk1, export model, means it’s left-hand drive and came straight to the states, no rust bucket from the U.K. Pre-dates Cooper S and first year export Cooper model. Has nice period correct additions 1275cc “S” engine with Weber 45 side draft carburetor, Cooper S brakes, brake booster, larger tank, Roll cage wrapped and stitched with leather. Has been in the family for more than 17 years. Everything works great, all lights, electrical have been sorted out. Very reliable definitely not a project. Over $6000 in recent invoices, Too much to list, Brake, suspension, carburetor, tires, headliner seats all new. Please do your research as Mk1’s are rare and Cooper’s even more so.
