Go, Baby, Go! Ride On Board With The Driver Of This Austin Healey 3000 Mk1 As He Takes On The Field

We have been showing you plenty of cool videos from the latest Goodwood members meeting and we think this could be the best one yet. You are going to hop on board a 1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mk1 and go for a couple of hair-raising laps in the cold weather with guys racing you wheel to wheel! The Austin Healey 3000 with its “big six” was about as close to a muscle car as the Brits came to making in the 1960s. It was a lot of engine for the little car and as you will see in this video, when properly tuned and driven as if stolen it could hang with icons like the Jaguar XK and other seemingly more high brow machines.

This little car is on the edge of the handling curve it seems, especially by watching how busy the driver is with giving steering inputs. We love this dude’s aggression though. He sees a space and before you know it the little car has its nose in there and has shoved another competitor back a position. There are some pretty close ones in here, at least from our perspective. This guy love the ballsy move of the outside pass as well. The little car has the horsepower!

There’s one wild moment where an XK driver loses the handle and sends the car across the track right in front of our hero in the Austin Healey. The XK did not look to be too badly banged up but the nose was knocked loose and all that. With good camera angles and a screaming engine, this is a video you are surely not going to leave disappointed with.

Press play below and see one gutsy driving performance from the man at the tiller!
