Holley Introduces 2300 Two Barrel EFI – Swap Your Two Barrel Equipped Car To EFI Easier – 350hp Capable!

Just when you thought that it couldn’t be easier to make the swap to Holley EFI, the engineers drop this one on us! Holley introduces the 2300 Two Barrel EFI system as a solution for those hot rodders out there that want to make the EFI switch but they want to keep the intake manifold that their current Holley 2300 series carb is bolted to. It should be noted that Holley also offers adapters for those who want to keep their 4bbl intake manifold and swap this 2bbl style system onto it.

We think this is a brilliant idea and it eliminates a cost for those people who have been thinking about making the switch. With the ability to support up to 350hp this system isn’t just for cruisers, it is for bruisers as well. Holley has provided a load of information below and a video that walks through the entire system. This is neat stuff!

Here’s the story from Holley with details and a video below!

Holley/MSD is pleased to announce the release of 2300 two-barrel Sniper EFI system, developed specifically for vehicles that came standard with a 2300 Holley carburetor. It’s a bolt-on carburetor replacement that’s perfect for anything with a 2300-style flange, including the classic Mustangs, Fairlanes, Galaxies, Falcons, Comets, F100s, Javelins, Rebels, Thunderbirds, and Cougars of the ’60s and ’70s.

Priced to provide all the benefits of EFI and save you money to finish or upgrade any other aspect of your ride, it easily adapts to a square-flange or Quadrajet-flange 4-barrel intake with the addition of a Mr. Gasket adapter (part # 1933, or 1929MRG). The 2300 two-barrel Sniper EFI system easily accommodates up to 350 horsepower, and with the throttle-body-mounted ECU, there are no extra boxes to mount and absolutely no fabrication required. Installation doesn’t get any easier – just four wiring connections are required: battery positive, battery negative, switched ignition, and RPM. A calibration wizard takes care of everything, and no laptop is required – just answer a few questions about your engine, and the calibration wizard creates the base map and starts tuning on its own.

The 2300 two-barrel Sniper EFI system puts an end to cold-start issues, hesitation, vapor lock, and flooding. A Master Kit is available that includes everything for a complete fuel system – 20 feet of 3/8-inch Earl’s Vapor Guard fuel hose, an 80 GPH in-line universal electric fuel pump (part number 12-920), fuel filters, all the necessary hardware, and a bulkhead fitting to return fuel into the tank.

This would also be ideal for putting on Pinto and Ford Crossflow engines in the UK. Although Weber have a throttle body for swapping onto these motors it is like a trickling brook compared to the Holley and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it being fitted to some hot Escorts soon.

I’m a little surprised they didn’t simply dust off the tooling for the TBIs they built for late ’80s Chrysler 318s and later revived for the Pro-Jection.

I think this is great! Lots of cool cars out there with a straight or V6 could easily use this along with the V8 crowd.

Did they use a carburetor with a Holley/Autolite 4 bolt flange? If not I suppose you could use an adapter plate. Pretty sure my uncles ’62 GMC 305 V6 pickup had a Rochester 2 bbl…

Love the idea but have a question. Can this be set up to run dual efis? I currently have a Clifford intake with dual Webber’s just wondering if it’s possible and what would be involved as far as the control and all that? Thanks!!!!
