How lucky are we to live in the times that we do? This video about an amazing shop in England has us very thankful for the ability of people with modern skills and knowledge to lay their hands on classic stuff to make it better or at least as good as new. This video features a place called Kingsbury Racing and they are a shop that concentrates the vast majority of their work on pre-war Bentley cars. You may wonder how such a place could keep in business in 2021, but when you see the cars stacked up in this shop, you’ll rightly know.
It’s an interesting iron that in 2021 while the stocks of existing Bentley “NOS” parts have to be close to exhausted, we have more ability to make new replications of old parts than in any time before. Between casting, machining, and the other technological advantages we have today, it’s possible to build a Bentley and basically anything else from scratch without using one factory part.
That’s not what this place is about. This is a place that treats the cars with some reverence and prepares them as the customer wants ’em. From a racer to a cruiser, they can handle it.
