Don’t Blame Me: McTag’s Next Dodge Mirada Lives In Idaho And Has A Leaning Tower Of Power

Look McTaggart, don’t blame me. Rocco Bastone was the guy who hunted this thing down on Craigslist and now I’m just here to tell you about it. For $2,600 you can buy this kind of surface crusty 1981 Dodge Mirada. The interior looks brand new. It’s all fluffy and blue and ready for the long, long road trip home from Idaho to Kentucky. How do I know it will be long? The slant six under the hood is the reason, man. No, you won’t be going anywhere quickly but you WILL get a lot of looks, simply because people will have plenty of time to stare at the car on their way by, especially over the hills.

In all seriousness, this is a pretty decent car for a pretty decent price. We know the the number of people who truly love these things is not exactly huge (despite what McTag had tried to convince us of over the years) and we’d definitely like to see someone save it from a potential scrap heap death.

The seller says that the rust is surface only and the one spot on the rear quarter is where a dent was pushed out. The gas tank has been recently cleaned out, the AC works, and the thing basically needs a windshield to be minto. It’s Christmas time, McTag. Make some of that magic for yourself.

CL Find: This 1981 Dodge Mirada is cheap but at least it’s slow –
