Lean, Mean, and Green: The Aston Martin Valhalla Is Your Latest 900+ Horsepower, $800,000 Rocket

(By Tom Lohnes) – With the bonkers, V12-powered, $2.5 million Aston Martin Valkyrie sold out, extremely rich Aston Martin enthusiasts everywhere are appalled that they didn’t get a chance to buy one. Well, they still aren’t getting one, but they have a shot at the new V8-powered Valhalla hypercar, and so does everyone else.

Starting at around $800,000, this isn’t exactly a Corolla. The Valhalla, previously called the AM-RB 003, was supposed to have a tamed version of the V6 hybrid system from Redbull racing’s own F1 car. But a new CEO put a halt to that, and called up the boys at AMG. Now using a flat-plane crank twin-turbocharged V8 and one electric motor on each axle, the Valhalla makes 937 horsepower, which is an astronomical number. With it being a plug-in hybrid, it also has a FWD EV modem which makes this $800k car theoretically capable of front-wheel burnouts. Cool.

In terms of looks, the Valhalla is gorgeous. It smooths out the Valkyrie’s insane, extreme aero design, and turns it back into the charming, beautiful car an Aston Martin is supposed to be.

If there are any multi-millionaires reading this, maybe consider a Valhalla when purchasing your next near-million-dollar car.
