It’s not cheap, but it sure is cool looking. This 1978 Ford has been made into a real-life Tonka truck you can drive. You’ll need to have a big garage to park it in because this thing is a whole lot bigger than your average 1978 F250, but your friends will all dig it. I wish the seller had shared the information normal people would want to know when looking at something like this, but apparently that would be asking too much. What I can tell you, based on the photos and little information in the ad, is that it is in fact one-ton based and has had a lot of custom fabrication done.
It’s an F250 but has one-ton axles under it, so we can’t be sure on what they are. It’s gas powered and has a 5-speed trans in it and is 4-wheel drive. The custom comes from the front bumper and running boards, but the bed is the true magic here. It actually works and is built to mimic a Tonka truck bed for sure. I dig it and it makes me think about the times I spent with one knee in the bed of my Tonka truck hauling ass around the driveway.
