Suburban Saturday: This 1960 Suburban Project Needs Wrapping Up But Will Be One Hell Of A Cruiser When Finished.

Suburban Saturday: This 1960 Suburban Project Needs Wrapping Up But Will Be One Hell Of A Cruiser When Finished.

I’ve said it a jillion times, buying someone’s old project can be a hell of a deal if you make the right deal on the right project. This just might be one of those right projects. At just $15,000 or best offer, you could get this Suburban up and running and ready to rock for just a few thousand more. You can have it running and driving for just a few hundred more, but we think you’ll want to ad some Vintage Air, a stereo, a few creature comforts, and some interior since it has already been LS swapped. Of course the very first thing I’d do to it is remove that giant sort of bowtie off the headliner, but that’s just me.

If the work is done right, then the rest is wiring, creature comforts, and cosmetics and I think the thing has a cool look that can be made even better with some cleanup and a bunch of pinstriping. What do you think it needs? Tell us in the comments below.

I dig it but I think it’s overpriced, and why on earth would you want tender exit exhaust? I grew up driving a 65 GMC suburban but ours had the much cooler tailgate and lift up rear window. I kick myself in the ass for letting that thing go.
