From Worst To First: New Nissan Frontier Truck Has Horsepower, Styling, Features, To Change The Midsize Truck Game

(By Tom Lohnes) – After four presidents, two decades, and a lot of trucks sold, the Nissan Frontier finally gets a redesign. The Nissan pickup that was a meh competitor just turned into a class-leader.

What Nissan did while designing this truck was look at a Toyota Tacoma and design it how they would think a next-gen version of it would look.  What I mean by that is that the truck looks great. With a far more rugged, squared-off design than before, the New Nissan embraces the styling of the Tacoma, and adds original touches everywhere. Inside lies a giant 9.0-inch screen and a whole new dash layout, which sits it comfortably at the top of the rather boring midsize pickup truck class. Under the hood is a 3.9-liter naturally aspirated V6 which produces 311 horsepower, another class-leading feature.

A welcome feature that is unchanged is the availability of a single-cab, making it the only one in its class to offer such a thing.

With promising numbers, a powertrain that has already proven its worth in the 2020 model-year trucks, and in my personal opinion the best looks in its class, the Nissan Frontier seems to be the small truck to buy at the moment. Pricing should range from $30,000 to $50,000.
