You Wish: This Comparison Between A Real Makita Electric Impact And A Wish Knockoff Is Pretty Great

This is some great stuff. Before today we never knew of the Torque Test Channel on YouTube. These guys have built all kinds of neat testing rigs to see if impact tools live up to their advertised claims of strength and performance. You can see them testing stuff like the strength of ball joint presses and other tools that impact guns work on but this is not one of those tests. Here the guys test a real Makita electric impact versus a knockoff they bought on Wish.com for like $40.00.

The “test” isn’t about what they think it feels like, sounds like, or looks like. The test is done on their torque dyno that actually registered the twisting power of the tools themselves. The fake Makita claims to deliver 1,000 Newton Meters of twist or 738 lb-ft. Let’s just say that your mileage may vary.

The bottom line is that “cheap” tools keep getting cheaper. Some of this garbage makes even garbage look decent. If the raw performance of the thing is that junky imagine what the longevity of the unit will be. It does seem that tools are one of the few places left that your expenditure does directly correlate to the goodness of the product you hold in your hand.

thanks for the info with ever increasing number of knock offs on the market you have to wonder is it worth the gamble $$$$$ from my limited experience with a few cordless drills it’s not worth the aggravation,,,,, a tool that won’t work is worthless
