Epic Video: An Amazing Period Documentary About Apollo 13 Filled With NASA Footage – Incredible Stuff

Now this is something we did not expect to run into today. You are about to watch a truly riveting and incredible NASA documentary about the Apollo 13 mission. This was made in the time frame that the near disaster occurred and it is so amazing because the entire film is made up of insider NASA footage showing the engineers and astronauts doing whatever they could to save the three men floating around in space. Jim Lovell, Jack Swigert, and Fred Haise were the three guys who kept their heads, worked with ground control, and in cramped quarters, saved their own bacon while floating around the backside of the moon.

From the way that ground control helped them to design a carbon dioxide converter out of trash and spare parts they had in their little capsule, the engineers who instructed them when and where to fire up their engines to stay on course, and the truly touching imagery of a nation praying for their safe return, this truly is something.

The radio transmission audio is so compelling as well. These guys were so bad ass they did not yell and scream, they did not freak out, and they handled their business, splashing down safely in the Pacific ocean to the delight of a thankful nation.

This whole film shows the best in people. It is refreshing.
