Stadium Super Trucks Tearing It Up In Adelaide Australia: Robby Gordon Back After Being Banned From Racing In Oz

Stadium Super Trucks are an absolute riot to watch. Take a very capable off-road rig, put on a set of all terrains, build some steel jumps, and place said jumps on a road course and let 12 of these off-road machines loose. Yeah, it’s about what it sounds like. Wrong, but oh so right. But man they are so much fun to watch! Every truck is built to be as identical as is possible. And because of the way the trucks are built and maintained, the racing is as close as you’ll find in any sanctioning body. So close that trucks are constantly hitting each other and bouncing off everything around them. Think Lucas Oil Short Course racing but even crazier and closer.

Oh and did I forget to mention the three wheel corners? Yeah, these things have so much suspension travel that they lift the inside front tire off the ground more than a foot on corners. More than two feet in the hardest and fastest corners we’d guess. It’s pretty awesome actually, not only because of what they are doing, but how, and in vehicles that just make no sense in the location they are racing.

That’s what makes it so fun!

Watch the video and let us know what you think about these beasts.

I’ve been following Robby’s series for awhile now.

He can run a event, just about anywhere…LA Coliseum, check…Long Beach Grand Prix track, check…county fair 4wheel jamboree, check…etc.

I looked into this a few years ago…I was interested in driving in the series…it’s pretty affordable, compared to other off-road series…individual events, at the time, were about 25k.
