The One That Got Away – A Saab Driver Manages To Violently Escape A Tow, But At What Price?

The One That Got Away – A Saab Driver Manages To Violently Escape A Tow, But At What Price?

The other day, we showed you a crazed Irish guy attempting to back his truck off a European crane style tow truck that was looking to cart his junk away. He may have failed miserably but thanks to Matt Cramer over at DIY AutoTune, we now have an example of a guy who did get away. We’re just wondering what the price was for the move he pulled here. There’s no way that the car came out of this one the same way it went in, right? Unlike the guy in the linked video above who got all hung up in the chains and cables of the truck like a tuna fish in a net, this guy has no such trouble.

Hey, getting your car towed sucks royally. The fees, the hassle, the need to actually hunt the thing down to the ends of the Earth, etc. None of this is any fun. That being said, a couple of hundred bucks versus what seems to be thousands of dollars in potential damage seems like a pretty good deal.

What we’re trying to tell is whether the dark black spot on the pavement that seems to be there after the car lands is oil or something else and if the smoke poring from the car as it drives away is just there because it’s a diesel or because that dude broke his junk.

The noise the Saab makes when both ends of it crash to the ground is pretty awesome. We’re dying for a follow up video to see what the end result of this daring escape was!

Press play to see a Saab owner escape the tow truck…at what cost?
