We have run dozens, maybe hundreds of Aussie burnout contest videos over the years here on BangShift, but this one featuring a highly modified Toyota Hilux truck is top 10 minimum and maybe even top five. The truck is lifted and on all terrain tires, it has a flatbed style body on it, and it is lifted with a twist. That twist is the fact that the front axle is a beam piece like you’d find under a gasser, not one that actually drives the wheels in a typical lifted truck. This thing was made for these contests or at least made to be hellaciously fast and put on a great show. The engine is a blown 540ci big block Chevy that is also fuel injected.

What blew us away about this truck is how quickly it goes from sitting still at idle to completely engulfed in a massive cloud of tire smoke. It takes literally less than one second to emit as much smoke as some 30-second burnouts we have seen! in typical fashion the driver blows donuts, banks the truck of the rev limiter violently for nearly the whole time, spins the tires until they both explode, and even that doesn’t really slow him down all that much. Pay attention to the exhaust because by just after a minute the entire exhaust….the ENTIRE exhaust from the headers to the mufflers is bright orange. It literally looks like the entire system, headers and all, is about to melt off the truck. This guy and this truck rule.

WHY??? I just don’t get it. With the money they invest on these vehicles, especially the engines, you could have a pretty sweet drag car.
