Watch The Hampton Hooker John Deere Pulling Tractor Launch The Entire Engine Out Of Itself!

Watch The Hampton Hooker John Deere Pulling Tractor Launch The Entire Engine Out Of Itself!

This is pretty amazing and not exactly in a good way. As stunning as it is to watch from a video screen we can only imagine what it was like to be in the driver’s seat of the tractor when the engine failed and the entire massive diesel along with everything else attached to it got launched clear out of the front of the tractor. The Hampton Hooker starts as a pulling tractor and ends as a rolling chassis. It is as simple as that. Crazy!

This is a Limited Pro Stock tractor so we’re talking a max of 640ci under the cowling of the machine, a 9,500lb maximum weight, a 104mm turbo max, and the engines have to be OE style agricultural pieces that are the correct brand for the tractor. In this video the Hampton Hooker was on about as nice a hook as you’ll ever see. It was making some wheel speed, it was hovering the nose, and then it wasn’t. With about 100psi of boost smashing the pistons down in the holes, the block apparently had enough and broke. It seems as though you can see some of the pistons and rods just kind of sitting there after the cloud of fire disperses.

The machine literally starts the hook as a limited pro stock tractor and ends it as a rolling chassis. People can discount tractor pulling all they want but these cars may be the hardest of the hard core. Wild!

I’ve been seeing a trend in pulling videos where the driver doesn’t pull down the visor. I bet this person wishes they did after seeing all that fire.
