    Well, I can answer a few questions on this . The lever on the left side of the steering wheel is the lever for the hydrostat trans- axle . Car engines rotate the opposite direction than the Koller or what ever it came with . So as to save some bucks by not having to buy a revers rotation cam and whatever else is involved you stick the motor in backward. Also the pump doesn't need to be hooked to the crank . A 8 horse motor would spin the thing before, you can just couple it to the shaft on the water pump.
