Re: Roadside Find: Chevy Truck Personality Test

I want to go to Maxton with the camper van and race it. See how horrid it's aerodynamics really are. I can live it in too.

I'm a sucker for those old wreckers.

I'm also digging the hook. But given my track record on projects, it would just be another one that went nowhere until I sold it for about a fourth of what I paid for it.

If the wrecker is free and the other one costs $10k, I can see going with the wrecker. Be prepared to spend lotsa time/money and find a few parts trucks to get it on the road in racing condition!

Much as I'd give a good home to either truck, my current budget is more suited to the Dunkin' Donuts in the background.

I'm hooked on the wrecker. Get it running, shoot it flat black and take it on HRPT.

Crazy...two red 67-72 Chevy wreckers on the web in the same day. I saw this one awhile ago:

I'll take the wrecker, very utilitarian hot rod.....

As much as I like the wrecker...think I'd be further ahead in the finance, fun and wifey's sense of humour departments with the 65 C/10 -- but of course it would have to be air bagged and lowered (so much for finances and her sense of humour)

mark me down for the '64.

My father had one just like this when I was born.

he wrecker is cool and all, but I'm tired of fighting the rust monster.......and not much chance of makin' money towing with what appears to be an old 440 Holmes sling-boom.

The camper van(Meth-Mobile?) would guarantee an appearance on Cops....LMAO

I'd have to say the 64 because if i owned a wrecker i would be trying to drag many projects home!

I dragged a bunch of projects home with that 66 suburban I had...and my older pickups too.......all it takes is a trailer

Hell, a chain or a good stout length of rope can turn anything into a tow vehicle...LOL
