The Century was basically a Special (which I think shared body structure with Chevy et al) with the Roadmaster engine. Depending on the year, the Roadmaster had either/or more displacement, more carb and cam, and more compression. In other words, this was an early Impala SS/Marauder. Later on this combo would be sold as the Wildcat. Definitely cool cars. In '58 they all got slathered with WAY too much chrome - unless you like that look.

My favorite buick in the fifties,would be the 59 model.A black 2 or 4 door hardtop.
