Well, a late model Focus got in, so why not?! And I guess nowadays even Things and Pintos are considered hip. :

I can say something about Burbank Bobs that I don't think anyone else on this forum can say.
I married a Burbank Bobs carhop.
          Braggin'? You bet I am.

First, there's no such thing as a coincidence ;)

Second, that's Dave now, after going back to the stressful world of the Mags...HA!

Bob's has a really eerie feeling of being a place that has seen it all when it comes to hot rodding. A seriously cool place...

Bob's held this show with the Road Kings every Friday since about 1950. Rain or Shine. Although, when it's raining you can get almost any space you want.

I can't believe the truck from that crappy movie "Tango and Cash" is still around.

Yeah, Brian...it's not at all hard to get in with late-model junk that no one wants to see. You just have to be there early.

Re: Gearhead Destination: Bob's Big Boy in Burbank, California

I was at Bobs almost every night from 1964 until your whiskered uncle called me to service in 1969. After I read this post a few days ago I called my old high school buddy fat Dave and told him about it.
He reminded me that there weren't any really cool cars at Bobs on a regular basis.
Actually aside from the once in a wile visit from Barris with his latest that would actually run or from the Jefferey's shop it was just cars that us kids had. A hot car would be a 64 dodge with a 383 or maybe a random 55 Chevy with a 409.
I think it's funny how the past gets brought back bigger that it relay was.
The NHRA cackle fest is a perfect example.
