I grew up in Wooster and literally lived around the corner from Gerstenslagers. I even worked for them for about month immediately after High School. They are probably most well known for their bookmobiles and I always thought it was funny when they would take their newly arriving bare chassis for test runs. Imagine nothing but a 40 foot frame, engine and running gear, drivers seat, and a steering wheel driving around town.

Their version of the Weinermobile was before my time though, my ex-girlfriends father who started working there right after WWII helped build it.

My dad took tolls at the Del Memorial Bridge for a while, while he was there, he took the toll of one of them
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.

Fellow on the bicycle gave him a good run to 60 ft.

Saw one of these in hotel parking lot at Carrier Circle in Syracuse -- I thought there was just one; didn't know they have a bunch of them.

            Long live the Weinermobile!
