In my opinion this is one more thing that marks NASCAR's viabilty as real racing as questionable. I know they had nothing to do with the weather, but when somebody can win a 600 mile race by barely going half the distance, because he gambled on the weather rather than leading the race I really have questions about the legitimacy of the victory.
NASCAR will, no doubt, respond to such criticisms by claiming to have been trying to do what was best for the fans. Maybe what they could do for the fans is to race in the wet or..... well, who knows what they could do. I am at a loss each time I see NASCAR come up with some new kind of drama to keep the perpetual soap opera going.Comment
