Chad, dude, with all due respect - if you have never ridden in a bucket, you really need to save your 'coolness' rating til you have. The acceleration, especially in one with a blower and dual-quads, in nothing short of eye-opening!
Re: the blown Corvair - while it is entirely possible that the set-up is functional, it is also possible that the "look" is what this individual is going for. Remember the Monkeemobile? While the "blown" engine looked way-cool, Dean Jeffries was also going for the "look". The blower case was real, the internals were MIA. What was contained inside was an ordinary, garden-variety carburetor, all done to aid in drive-ability and ease of maintenance.
