Every single one of the production models was built here in Wichita. My dad was a mechanic on the -47 line at McConnell AFB here in Wichita after he got out of the Navy. He specialized in repairing or replacing the fuel bladders in the wings. Lots of old timers around here still talk about working on the -47 line.
