    We're pretty spoiled these days. My bottom of the line pickup truck makes 120 hp / liter... I remember stories that the 318 powered 80's St Regis couldn't make it up the hills in San Francisco making it potentially the worst pursuit car ever, but let's not forget the 206hp 460 Ford or my favorite boat anchor, the 135hp 305 Chevy. I won't mention the 255 Ford at 119hp.

      I remember the 454 being 215 HP back in the day... the 2002 S10 with a 4.3 liter having more than that with MINOR modifications... In a standard cab short box xtreme... it really scoots!
