I think I would leave the body as is, throw some air ride on it and that Detroit Diesel 4-71 you posted up awhile back Brian....that would be a killer parts runner/light duty tow rig.

This makes me miss my 65. Mine was a long bed too, with a 352 FE and a 3 on the tree. It was my uncle's farm truck and when Dad and I drug it home, it still had the cattle rack in the bed. We smoothed the body some, fixed a couple rust spots and I drove the piss out of it.
I think I'd have to say put a 2003 Supercharged Cobra motor with a 6 spd and Air ride with some steelies and call this one good.
