Re: Craigslist Pick Bonus Edition: Not-So-Super Nova
I'm a Ford guy, but come on, it's not that bad.
It's a real back seat driver . . . .
The top sort of looks like a mid-60s Stingray removable hardtop.
And it's already such a freak that it would make a trick altered wheelbase "gasser." Just put in a tube axle and move it about half a foot forward . . . .
Or to be really "off-the-chain" wild, move the rear axle forward, too (not so sure about the driveshaft though) Street wheelie time!
An even wilder mod would be to lengthen the front clip a tad to give it more of a "cab rearward" look (Think Holman-Moody A/FX Mustang (http://www.holmanmoody.com/drag_gal.html)
Some how I suspect that if the builder had left it a bland, boxy four-door Chevy II, that it would be almost invisible at shows and cruises.

Back in the 80's,my buddy owned a wrecking yard.He built a 61 Falcon similar
to this one but kept the stock drivetrain. It was very well done and looked like it came from Ford.
Very cute car.Calypornya...near the beach

Well, you did get a WTF !! out of me.
After getting over my initial reaction, I started to really look at the picture.
Like Brian said, it was a ton of work, and pulled off rather well also.
Kinda reminds me of a Nova T-Bird, but I still come back to ...
... WHY ??
???
