Re: eBay Pick of the Week: The Transmission We All Need. A Lenco ST1200
One of my good buddies with more money then sense used a Lenco a few years back for no good reason.
It was an early 80's Mercury Capri RS that we did a full tub job on, 4 link, and cage. It was running a pretty mild 408 with AFR heads and 250 hit of juice....however all this very street car motor was backed up with a Lenco and even though the car may have "only" ran 9.60's it was still way damn cool with the levers sticking through the tunnel.
Lenco's can kind of fall in the same category as 8-71 blowers. Sure they don't make the most sense and there are better, cheaper, ways to make the power/result......but there is just something cool about them.

I am chuckling here, wondering if you have a calibrated "ooga booga" meter, or if "ooga booga" is measured by a panel of judges.
;D
RonIt's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.

Hurst Lightning Rods!
Good luck finding them, and when you do, there better be a stack of cash in your wallet.
A 1980's edition Hurst Olds had them as standard equipment. Don't remember which year though.
BrianThat which you manifest is before you.
