Not that it takes much to overshadow THIS NASCAR season . . . .

(and I'm not just saying that because the COT spec-racer "Fords" stink this year)

Check out the comic strip Tank McNamara this week for a running commentary there also.

These acronyms need work. Shouldn't it be UOT (Urinal of Tomorrow) or POT (Potty of Tomorrow) . . . or would the shrinking number of citizens in the NASCAR NATION get them confused with the COT (because it's full of the same biomass as the UOT and POT)?

And "who won" doesn't really matter as long as it's a "good show" (and Montoya doesn't win, of course)

With respect to the UOT, there's a few a NASCAR terms that would need to be redefined:

              "Restrictor Plate" -- Kidney stones

"Loose in 1 and 2" -- [make up your own punchline. Example: What might happen after a wild night of "kickin' it at Junior's "Club E"]

"Tight" -- Junior's bladder after a case or two of "AMP"

"Double file restart" -- that thing that happens at the UOT first thing in the morning

"Hitting the wall" -- what happens when you miss the UOT

"A couple of rounds of Wedge" -- what happens when one of the "Young guns" gives you a wedgie at the UOT, or it could be what NASCAR's given to Mayfield.

"Aero Push" -- that button you push to start the "World Dryer" after you wash your hands . . . You DO wash after using the UOT!

"Roger Penske" -- a "clean" sample for NASCAR testing (inspired by the chicanery Penske and Donohue used to pull off on the SCCA inspectors in the 1960s Trans-Am series. See The Unfair Advantage)

"Smokey Yunick" -- an unfortunate torch (gas axe) accident

"Rulebook" -- elastic waistband (inspired by NASCAR's top-secret, ever-changing rulebook and how Bill Gazaway reportedly used to enforce it for the "good of NASCAR")
