Trust me Brian when I say that even if you have the whole script, a story board, and the director telling what he's envisioning for a finished product; it's still hard to tell what the hell is going on on a shoot. You do dozens of takes, read lines until your sick of hearing yourself talk, go back and do it again with a different product in your hand. Then the editor takes all that and makes something that somehow makes perfect sense of it. I now know I never want to be an editor.
