Using the Dueling Banjo song as a background for this story is a disservice to the song and the banjo players that played it. (By the way the boy on the porch in the movie and on this link did not play the banjo. Somebody else's arms are coming around him to play the banjo.)

Why do they call it Dueling Banjos when one instrument is a freaking guitar?

The movie actually stole the song, and there was a successful lawsuit against the company that made it. Originally the song was played by two banjos, thus the name. Hollywood screwed it up.
