      Kinda agree with Matt.

      If the Steamer was that good a hundred years ago you should be able to simply blow the record away - not just beat it. Otherwise it just looks like "cherry picking" an old standing record.

      What was the piston engine land speed record a hundred years ago?

            140? they are playing with an old record. torque makes it go, the stem is a freakin locomotive. they could take to 800mph. I wonder hgow the gears work. fluid to fluid.. a big automatic thm 2000? ;D
