Well, the person who did the artwork probably wasn't born in 1970...

I remember talking with one of the Mopar Performance guys at PRI a couple years ago.

Me: I'd run across a couple errors in the Six Cylinder Engine Guide; any chance they'll be fixed in the next edition?
MP rep: Interesting - what sort of errors?
Me: One that really stuck out is that it said the Lean Burn ignition used breaker points.
MP rep: What's a Lean Burn?

I know a lot of Mopar fans would rather pretend the Lean Burn never existed, but that's taking it too far.

If that pic of the truck doing a burnout isn't photoshopped, I don't know what is....

Thats the result of Dumbler cutting back all those white collar jobs, theres no one left that worked there in the 70s and most weren't even born.

Still, I wasn't born in the 70's and I caught it a few years ago when my buddy photoshopped rallye wheels on the new one. One quick google search would tell you it's not a '70.

                  Top 11 Excuses:

                  1. "It WAS a '70 Challenger until somebody from the 'Guv-ment' Photo-shopped it."

                  2. "I knew we should have went with the 'Nash Bridges' 'Cuda!"

                  3. "But we were engineering those 5 m.p.h. bumpers in 1970. . . ."

                  4. "After Barrett-Jackson and the bankruptcy, we can't afford to use a '70 Challenger anymore."

                  5. "We didn't want the old Challenger to make the new Challenger's bumpers look fat."

                  6. "Our '70 model was in the shop."

                  7. "I knew we should have went with the Fiat 500 . . ."

                  8. "I didn't know we still made Challengers?"

                  9. "We loaned our Hemicuda to Chad at Bangshift . . . ."

                  10. "That's the last time we let the Brunt Brothers from "Mopar Action" do a photo shoot."

                  11. "Weren't there supposed to be some smokin' "Dodge Rebellion" swimsuit models to cover that "Dagmar" stuff up?"

Re: Mopar Model Year Fail...From the Factory!

Most likely, anyone with a 70 laughed in the face of the production company when they offered their measely pittance for using their car. The guy with the 74 didn't care. It didn't drive anyway.

"whats wrong with Chrysler these days"?
                        Nothing.
The problem for all the companies is the collapse of the american economy.
Just put my money where my mouth is too and bought a new Mopar 1 month ago.
