Re: Rest In Peace: Shaun Carlson

this one really bums me out - I knew shaun when he was a editor at Mini Truckin magazine working under Courtney Halowell - I was and still am in the mini truck scene and it was great to seen shaun rise thru the ranks to his current status. A great inspiration to use lowly guys who drove around in lowered trucks seeing what you could accomplish if you just set your mind to it

I wish I hadn't clicked on this story........

Condolences going out to his family for sure....no one should have to bury their own children.

Brugada syndrome is a genetic syndrome (inherited)
He likely had a implantable defibrillator (not a pacemaker) that is designed to interrupt (cardiovert) a randomly occurring lethal arrhythmia that is the usual cause of death in these individuals.

I never knew anything about Shaun beyond his lack of success in Pro Stock. Thanks for the articles.

Bobby, you are right on with the Pro Stock deal. He did not have the mount he needed. Drove the wheels off of what he had to work with, but it was a dog that simply couldn't hunt.
