What is his point in pursuing this further? The 2009 NASCAR season ends November 22, Mayfield sold all his stuff and no reputable sponsor would touch him with a 100 foot pole. I guess it's about his ego and his lawyer's billing rate. The man is a laughingstock.

and that's the reason the court case goes on. If Mayfield is indeed inocent, he has lost everything else and will need the money from a suit to get back going again. If he's not inocent, well there's always one's ego.

For NASCAR it is all an ego thing, isn't it?

Yep,NA$CAR admitted yesterday that the start times for there races
over the past few years have been a bad decision.Going back to
1:00 P.Mp. (Eastern) for most races.

over the past few years have been a bad decision.Going back to
1:00 P.Mp. (Eastern) for most races.

Huh, funny enough. When the California Speedway was built, they didn't install stadium lighting, the reason being that there would never be a night race due to the time difference (Penske thinking?). Few years later it was decided to upgrade and have an evening race. So in went the stadium lighting. That speedway has been very lucrative for my Step-Dad, he was/is the general foreman electrian when the place was built, then upgraded. Still gets four worker's passes every race. Him, my Mom, my Uncle and Cousin will be at the races this weekend. It'll be interesting to see if they do away with the evening race in CA.

I think that the west coast races are to start at 3:00P.M. Eastern next year.As Left Coast guy,
I can eat breakfast and watch the start,then mow the lawn and do other shit,come back see, the finish
crack open a beer and fire up the bbq,perfect.
